With over 35 years of experience practicing Intellectual Property Law with a principal focus on patent due diligence, patent prosecution, trademark due diligence and prosecution, assessing infringements of patents, trademarks and copyright, and representing clients in the Federal Court of Canada and before the Trademarks Opposition Board, Bill is an expert in the practical intellectual property concerns of established and emerging technology and product development companies and their financiers.

Shelley has extensive industry experience as a Senior Director of Human Resources, and as a Professor of Human Resources and Business Communications at York University. She has published articles on Leadership Coaching and Work/Life Balance in professional journals and she also has a strong accounting background having worked as an auditor for an international accounting firm early on in her career.

Shelley joined Herman IP in 2012 as the Managing Director of the firm.

Shelley earned her BA in Sociology and Philosophy at Concordia University in Montreal, and her MBA at
McGill University/University of Ottawa
